All of the people who live in our housing have struggled with serious mental illness and some have suffered the additional burden of homelessness. The recovery oriented environment of our homes enables people to live in the community and enjoy quality of life.

Recently in a survey done by a professional consultant 66% of residents that responded said that their life has improved a great deal since coming to live in Eden Community Homes, 22% said life had improved a little bit and the remainder said it had stayed the same.

When asked what is better for them, residents who said their lives have improved agreed with the following:

• I am happier
• I have more people to talk to
• I feel more confident
• I don’t need to go to the hospital
• I have more friends
• I get sick less
• I eat better
